I have always been fascinated by underwater photography and had a desire to learn the techniques involved. With an upcoming trip that would take me to Hawaii and Mexico for 1.5 months, I knew I finally had a reason to purchase and learn how to use what was necessary to shoot in and under the water. Here are some images from my first shoot with my roommate Rachel. Neither of us had ever worked in the water before and it was quite the experiment figuring out what to do to work with the natural light in the pool, poses and effects we wanted, and staying under when my camera system was extremely buoyant and just wanted to bring me to the surface.
