I struggle to put into words the feeling I get when I capture a moment in time and press the play button to reveal the image on my camera. My methods are rarely calculated and are constantly changing. I find inspiration in light, clouds, textures, patterns, colors and angles. When I look with my eyes at the world in front of me, sometimes I think I see something different because what I see is so incredible that everyone should be stopping to marvel like I am. I see the world as still frames waiting to be recorded and preserved for the future. These memories can bring us together, can make us laugh or cry, can help us to always remember, and can record a moment in history.
Through photography, I keep my memories at the forefront. I have a passion for travel and diversity many share, but my favorite travel companion is my camera. I never feel alone or scared or bored. I feel awake, inspired and hungry for what is next. The level of joy I feel, I feel from no other thing or activity. I never tire of clicking, reviewing, editing and sharing. There is always more to see and document. There is an authentic excitement I can liken to opening Christmas presents as a child, but I feel this way every time I take a beautiful, creative, or unique photo. I have fallen so in love with this planet through my camera lens. I have taken photos for as long as I can remember and I will take photos until my fingers can no longer press the buttons.
